Belize Fry Jacks
Great for Breakfast.

.	3 cups flour 1/2-1 tsp. salt 3 tsps. baking powder (level) 1 1/2 tsp. shortening 1 1/2 cup water Vegetable oil for deep or shallow frying

METHOD:
1. Wash Hands.
2. Collect all utensils and ingredients .
3. SIft flour in mixing bowl. Add baking powder and salt.
4. Cut shortening into flour.
5. Add water to make a soft but not sticky dough.
6. Knead lightly on floured board.
7. Cut into rounds. Let rest for 30 minutes or more.
8. Flatten and cut each round in 4-6 pieces.
9. Slit them in the middle
10. Heat frying pan.
11. Fry on each side until golden brown. Serve hot
